The Kansas City Museum is currently being remodeled and Museum exhibits and artifacts have been relocated to protective storage during this construction phase. Newly designed exhibits and rotating presentations of artifacts will return to Corinthian Hall when rehabilitation and restoration are complete. Museum programming continues on site. The Museum, located at Corinthian Hall, is a historic mansion built in 1910 as the home of R.A. Long, a lumber baron, entrepreneur, and civic proponent. The Long family gave the estate to the Museum, and Corinthian Hall has housed the museum of history and science since 1940.
